In the end, all nine confirmands were accepted into the membership of Westhampton Presbyterian Church with Confirmation Sunday to be Sunday, June 1st at the 10:00 am worship service.

Midnight Run
Twelve youth and three adults gathered at the church on Friday, February 8th to make sandwiches, prepare soup, and organize clothing and sock donations before leaving to help the homeless in New York City. We are especially grateful to Joan Hubbard who helped us connect with the Wigwam sock company. Their donation of more than 1,000 socks made it possible for us to give each homeless man and woman several pairs of warm socks, in addition to a warm cup of soup and bag dinner. Pastor Peter helped with the preparations and then went on the trip. Everyone loved having him participate in this youth ministry mission project. On Sunday, leftover bag lunches were given to Maureen’s Haven and delivered to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Port Jefferson to be distributed to guests who came to have lunch in their Sunday soup kitchen.

The next planning session will be held Sunday, April 6th at 4pm in Bailey Hall. We will be leaving the church on Saturday, April 19th at 5:30am.
