Interested in What Membership At WPC?

Be Part of “Presbyterian 101 (P-101)”

Ever wondered what makes a Presbyterian a Presbyterian?  Presbyterian 101 is a group where we explore everything Presbyterian!  Well, not everything, but we will cover a lot!  If you are a guest who is curious about what makes a WPC member a member or are seeking new meaning and understanding about our Christian faith, you are invited to be part of this small group.  Pastor Peter invites you for a series of three classes, Sunday mornings at 8:30 AM, March 7, 14, & 21.  Those who decide they would like to be a member will be brought into the membership on Palm Sunday, March 28th.  If you are interested in learning more about this course, speak to Pastor Peter.  This is the only time this series will be offered until Fall.  If you missed this morning’s class, contact Pastor Peter as it will be repeated this week at a convenient time.

Learning Forgiveness Theme of Lenten Study

This year’s Lenten Adult Discussion Group is Learning Forgiveness: A Lenten Study and is held at 8:30 AM in the Founders’ Room.  “Repentance is at the heart of our Lenten

journey.  Can we learn to forgive with open hearts?”  Consider the various aspects of forgiveness, perhaps more central to Christianity than to any other religion.  We will explore together in this study of a theme particularly well-suited to the season of Lent.  All are welcome!

·        3/21  Session Five: Forgiving others is imperative—not optional. What if we can’t forgive? Or we’re simply not ready to forgive?

·        3/24  Session Six: Is forgiveness is possible without repentance—what of Jesus’ willingness to forgive on the cross?

Deepen the meaning of Lent this year and prepare for the new life Easter offers!

The American Cancer Society Daffodil Days

The first flowers of the season, daffodils are a symbol of hope.
