Community Thanksgiving Celebration

The Hamptons Interfaith Council will hold an Ecumenical Thanksgiving Service next Sunday, November 23rd at 7 PM, here at the Westhampton Presbyterian Sanctuary. Ann Heil McAnelly will preach.

Seeker’s Class Planned…

The Seeker’s Class is an opportunity for you to learn more about Westhampton Presbyterian Church and what it means to be a Christian in the Presbyterian and Reformed Tradition.  Offered periodically, it is a good way to explore the faith and ministry we share and to become involved.  It meets three times as we explore what being Presbyterian means, how the church runs, and the ministry and mission we do.

The next Seeker’s Class will be held Sunday, November 16, for three-Sunday mornings at 11:15 am.  The Class is a time to explore how we live our faith today and does not mean a commitment to becoming a WPC member at the end. WPC maintains both a list of members and a list of friends of the church.  If you would like to attend the Seeker’s Class or would like more information, contact Pastor Peter after worship or call: 288-2576.

Stretch and Tone

Stretch and Tone with Linni Deihl will be starting up again this Thursday, November 20th at 6 PM in the Parish Hall. All welcome.

Adult Discussion Group

The Sunday morning Adult Discussion Group began Wrestling With Angels: An Intimate Look at the Tough Questions of Life on this morning at 8:30 am in the Founders’ Room.  It is a video/discussion study.  Six well-known authors/communicators speak honestly of their deepest struggles with life’s really tough questions.  Their very intimate and personal stories and insights form the launch points into what God has for us when we face these tough issues and situations.  Here is the line-up:

·        November 16: Guidance with Tony Campolo: How Do I Know What to Do?

·        November 23:  Why Me? with Philip Yancy: If You’re So Good Why Are Things So Awful?

·        November 30: Prayer with Richard Foster: Why Don’t My Prayers Get Answered?

·        December 11: Forgiving with Lewis Smedes: How Do I Forgive and Get On With My Life?

·        December 21: Doubt with Madeleine L’Engle: How Can I Question and Still Believe?

·        December 28: Love with Keith Miller: Why Is Loving So Hard?

All group discussions will begin with the video presentation with our guest speaker sharing their intimate stories and insights.  See the posted class listing for more information on each speaker.
