Christmas Tree & Menorah Lighting

Please join us at the Gazebo on Main Street for an annual tradition on Saturday, December 2nd at 5pm. There will be caroling, Santa, and peaceful messages for the holiday.

“Tree of Lights Service”

East End Hospice invites you to join their annual “Tree of Lights Service” in memory of friends and loved ones. Join them at the Gazebo at the Village Green on Main Street, Sunday, December 3 at 2:30pm.

Presbyterian Women

Thank you to everyone who could contribute to the Thank Offering. We have raised $275!  Also, order forms for your Christmas Wreath are due today. Please remember to make checks payable to the Presbyterian Women. You may place it in the offering plate or in the church office.

Christmas Bazaar

LI Brass Christmas Concert

On December 17th LI Brass will be joining the choir in a special Christmas concert during the 10am service. Please consider making a donation towards the LI Brass Guild by filling out the form in your bulletin and placing it in the offering plate of church office. Dedications will be announced in the December 17th bulletin.

Poinsettia Plants

Red poinsettia plants may be ordered to adorn the sanctuary on December 17th at a cost of $18 per plant. The deadline for orders is December 11th. Please make your checks payable to Westhampton Presbyterian Church (memo: Poinsettias).

Maureen’s Haven

Do you have any small wash cloths or hand towels that you no longer need? Maureen’s Haven will gladly take any donations of these items that you have. Bring them to the church office or contact Maria Moore, mariazmoore@gmail.com.

Deacons Meal Ministry

To those who may not know, a meal ministry program is available by the deacon’s committee to anyone in our congregation who may be in need. Each meal also comes with a visit from a friendly face of someone in our congregation. Habitat for Humanity

Choir Rehearsal

Children’s choir will rehearse every other Wednesday with Betsy Doyle. Next rehearsal is Wednesday, Nov. 15 at 5:45pm. The Senior choir will rehearse every Sunday at 9:30am and 11:15am.

Christian Sympathy

Our deepest sympathy goes to Steve and Christina Ravenhall and their extended family on the death of his mother, Florence Ravenhall on October 23, 2017. A service will be held in Lancaster, NY.

Trunk or Treat is cancelled today. Halloween activities during Sunday School!

Due to a low number of participants we are going to have to cancel the Trunk or Treat event this year. Instead, we will be doing Halloween activity stations in Bailey Hall (basement) during Sunday School. Hope you came in your costumes! (No weapons please) Each class will have an activity or 2 for your child to participate in and at the end they will receive a Halloween bucket that they can use to collect treats/candy from each table before going home. Please pick up your children in Bailey Hall after worship. Thank you!

Harvest Dinner

Our annual Harvest Dinner is set to take place on Thursday, November 2 at 6pm. All guests are asked to bring a main dish to share. Turkey, dressing and desserts will be provided by Meryle and John King. Come enjoy live entertainment by the Eastbound Freight Bluegrass Band.  Please join us by signing up on the Parish Hall bulletin board. Welcome Rev. Mark Tammen

Rev. Tammen graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University, Loyola University School of Law, and McCormick Theological Seminary, with dual degrees as a pastor/attorney. After graduating he served as an assistant pastor at River Forest Presbyterian church in River Forest Illinois.  Mark joined the Office of the General Assembly in April of 1994 as Manager of Polity, Guidance and Training and in May 2001 he became the Director of Constitutional Services. He is married to Anita, his high school sweetheart, and they have three married daughters – Katie, Elizabeth and Christina and two grandchildren, Amelia and James. Rev. Tammen is currently the General Presbyter of the Presbytery of Long Island.

Christian Sympathy

We express our deepest sympathy to Stu, Randy, Laura and the entire family on the death of beloved wife, mother, grandmother and member of our church, Marilyn Wood, on Monday, September 11. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to the WPC Memorial Fund or an animal rescue organization of your choice.

Christian Sympathy

We express our deepest sympathy to Jesse Deihl and the entire family on the death of her beloved mother and member of our church, Linni Deihl, on Monday, September 11. A memorial service will be held in the Chapel today at 4:30pm, followed by an interment in the Memorial Garden and a reception in the Fellowship Hall.

October Tidings Newsletter

The Tidings is underway! If you would like to put an article in for November, please submit them by Wednesday, October 18th.

Choir Rehearsal

Children’s choir will rehearse every other Wednesday with Betsy Doyle. Next rehearsal is Wednesday, Oct. 4 at 5:45pm. The Senior choir will rehearse every Sunday at 9:30am and 11:15am.

World Communion Sunday Lunch

Fall Rummage Sale and Scrap Metal Drive Rescheduled

Please mark your calendars accordingly; the new date is set for the Fall Rummage sale, Friday, October 20 from 9am-3pm and Saturday, October 21 from 9am-12:30pm. Setup will begin Sunday, October 15.

The Scrap Metal Drive will be Saturday, October 21 from 9am-3pm.
