Visit with Rev. Zaour

Hi All,

Dinner was delicious on Friday evening. It was so nice that the Youth Group was able to meet and have a one on one with Rev. Zaour, and able to help serve at the luncheon today after church.

Friday Night Dinner with Rev. Boutros Zaour

Hi!!

This Friday I am very excited to have everyone over my house for Boutros to visit all the way from Syria to speak with us. All are welcome, friends and family. If you could REPLY ALL with what you will be brining to the pot-luck, and how may people will be coming with you, that would be great.

Ginni has already responded that she will be bringing a tray of lasagna. I will be making whatever else we are lacking for food/drinks.

My address is 142 Malloy Drive, East Quogue NY 11942. If you are coming from Westhampton, stay on Montauk Hwy and it is the development on the left after the Old Point Resturant. If you pass Tony’s Asian Fusion you have gone too far. The development is called Southampton Pines and the road is Emmet Drive. Go over the bridge and make a right at the stop sign on Malloy. The house isn’t far down the road; it will be on your left with a white mailbox. If you are early, come up the driveway and park slanted in the circle. There is enough room for about 5 cars.

Can’t wait to see you all there!

Grades 9-12 meet at beach this Sunday!

SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS, BEACH CLEAN-UP, AND WORDS OF WISDOM!

Hello all,

We’re off to a great start this year with Sunday School. There has been great attendance, participation and much excitement. Last week I discussed with the High school kids about things they would like to do and cover this year in class. One of the great suggestions was to take our class to the beach during church and hold our class there. We will have a light breakfast at the beach ( I will provide bagels for all. Juice or any other items anyone would like to volunteer to bring would be appreciated!) We will be going to the public beach near the Swordfish club and expect to be back to the church parking lot by 12 Noon. Weather permitting we will be going this Sunday (29th). Kids may want to bring jacket/sweat shirt. This will be open to only high school students ( 9-12) as seating on the bus is limited. Please respond to this E-Mail so I may get an accurate head count and breakfast list. Many thanks…..I look forward to a great year!

Yours in Christ,

Hi all!!

I just received the email from Andy and would like to get a response on who will be coming to the beach clean-up this Sunday after Sunday School. If you are planning on coming (and bringing a friend) please please please let me know so I know how much food to bring for lunch. I will be waiting with food ready so we can eat and then leave for the clean up.

Hope to hear from you all soon.

Jill

Hi All,

Saw this and thought I’d forward…give you something to think about today!

Thought for the Day:

Sometimes it seems like every step we take in life is just to lead us to the next step. We try to make good grades in elementary school so that we can get in honors classes in middle school, so we can take AP classes in high school, so that we can get into a top college, so we can get a good job. The thought of it all can be exhausting!

We pursue the expectations and dreams set before us. But what would God have us to pursue? Righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance, and gentleness are things we need to work for. They don’t just show up in our lives one morning when we wake up. We must pursue them every day. As we work to fulfill our obligations at school, work, and with many other things, we need to stay committed to the things God deems worthy.

What are you pursuing today?  ~ Susan Reed

Worship at the beach sounds wonderful…. and then the beach clean up…enjoy the outdoors it’s suppose to be gorgeous!

I’m off to Newport to visit with Christian for Parents weekend….Kathy Tureski

September News

Hi All!!

Excited to start the new year with school and youth group! I spoke to many of you last Sunday about the Youth Potluck this Sunday. We will hand out the upcoming schedule and discuss things going on this year.

I will be bringing iced tea, drinks and a green salad with chicken. Please let me know what you will be bringing so there aren’t 4 dishes of ziti!

Thank you!!

Excited to see you all soon!
